Business Development Rep (BDR).

Position Summary.
- Fully-remote
- Part-to-full time
- Must be located in continental US time zones.
Position Details.
Your main responsibility will be setting appointments, qualifying prospects, and hitting certain KPIs.
This is a remote full-time role with an expectation that you will work continental-US business hours and collaborate with our team. That said, you will have plenty of flexibility to work within your own schedule.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Prospecting (with the support from us – ie. software and campaign strategy).
- Qualifying leads via Zoom and phone.
- Performing basic product demonstrations.
- Taking part in proposal calls with our leadership team.
- Communicating with prospects over phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Updating our team and taking part in weekly meetings.
- Scheduling, admin, and updating CRM.
Position Competencies

At least one year in a B2B sales role.
You have the professional experience necessary to quickly understand and contextualize complex offers and prospect goals. -
Excellent poise and presence.
You will be our first line of communication with new prospects in large organizations, and as always, first impressions matter. -
Curiosity.
You are naturally interested and curious about your prospects and our offering. -
Persistent and assertive.
You’re not afraid to pick up a phone and ask tough questions when necessary. -
Resourceful.
We are a fully remote team, and have been since 2014, so this is big. While you will be supported by marketing efforts and training, you will be expected to take ownership over your sales efforts and targets. -
Tech savvy.
You will work with sales software and CRMs and you will be expected to keep these platforms clean, up-to-date, and functional. -
Located in Continental US.
For ease of communication with our US team and our US and Canada-based prospects.

A Day in the Life of a Sales Schema BDR.
You wake up and open several tabs – Apollo for targeted email outreach, Streak for CRM, and a note taking app. You’re excited to see in the CRM that there are several inbound prospects – before contacting them you do a few minutes of research on LinkedIn to make sure they are a fit, and then you email them to set up time for qualification calls. From there, you make a few outbound calls to ‘lukewarm’ prospects who opened emails, or who had dropped off after showing interest.
Mid-morning, you log into Zoom for weekly sales training with our leadership team – together we review your latest qualification call and give you feedback – you’re progressing nicely! Together we discuss ideas for our next outreach campaign, based on best practices from our manifesto Relationship Sales At Scale.
In the afternoon, you take a lunch break and take some time for yourself at the gym. You log back into work and lead two qualifying calls – one is with the owner of 50-person agency, and you ask questions and present some details on our ‘done for you’ outreach service service. The next call is with a 10-person agency, for whom you suggested our lower-priced training program. You’re pleased that you were able to advance both of them to proposal calls, which will be lead by our leadership team.
Toward the end of your day, you take some time to update your CRM and brief our team on upcoming sales calls.
Position Outcomes.

- Be available for Zoom calls with our team and prospects during continental US business hours.
- Communicate promptly with us over phone, email, Slack, and our CRM.
- Achieve certain KPI milestones, to be discussed later in the process.
